How Consignment Works at Max & Lily’s
You can bring in items anytime during store hours, Tuesday through Friday — and by request on weekends. We accept all seasons, all the time.
We do our best to review your items while you shop, but during busy times, you’re welcome to leave them with us. We’ll call you once your items have been looked through.
You must return within 2 days to collect any items we can’t take — or let us know if you'd prefer us to donate them.
After the initial sort, your items are reviewed a second time for stains, wear, or other defects, and sorted by season. Accepted items are itemized, tagged, and dated for a 2-month consignment period that begins when your items are most in demand.
As items sell, 40% of the sale price accrues in your account. You can use this balance in-store or cash it out anytime. Stop by or call us to request a check, PayPal, or Zelle payment. Balances never expire — but items do.
If you'd like unsold items back, you have a 2-week grace period after the consignment period ends to collect them from the sales floor. After that, items may be donated or sold for half price or during clearance sales without compensation to the consignor.
