Children's consignments.... OPTIMIZED!

Consignment Update 💚

We are currently at capacity and pausing consignments until Earth Day while we catch up on inventory. We look forward to accepting new items again beginning Earth Day.

Thank you for your patience as we prepare the floor with fresh seasonal finds.

Max & Lily’s Consignment Relationship

Consignment at Max & Lily’s is a sustainable relationship built on openness and clear standards. Shared understanding around the items we accept, how they are prepared before drop-off, and our consignment process help us work efficiently together and support a positive experience for everyone.

Please read through the details below, as some of our consignment policies have recently been updated.

Consignment Days

We accept consignments Tuesday through Friday.

We do not review or accept items on weekends. Weekends are dedicated to processing inventory, resetting the store, and keeping everything running smoothly for shoppers and consignors alike.

If weekday drop-off is difficult, please reach out in advance. In some cases, we may be able to consider a weekend drop-off by arrangement.

At times, we may pause or limit consignments to specific categories. When this happens, updates will be shared on our homepage, social media, and via text alert.

To stay informed, please be sure you are signed up for our loyalty program by checking in with your phone number on our in-store tablet.

Seasonal Items

We accept items for all seasons year-round. Off-season items are safely stored, and your two-month consignment period begins when your items are most likely to sell, not when they are dropped off.

This means you do not need to store items at home until the “right” time. Bring items in whenever it is convenient, and we will take it from there, ensuring they reach the sales floor when demand is highest.

What We Accept

We accept children’s clothing, shoes, toys, books, and more from newborn through teen, as well as maternity wear. Items should be clean, current in style, brand-name, and in excellent, like-new condition.

Consignment works best when items are thoughtfully prepared. This means reviewing items at home and bringing in only pieces that fit our criteria: brand-name items in like-new condition that are clean, complete, and ready for the sales floor. Clothing should be sorted in advance, items should be freshly laundered or wiped down, and all pieces for games and toys counted. Because we do not have the resources to sort through large tubs or stored collections, consignors are responsible for selecting and preparing items before drop-off.

Please bring items in reusable bags, boxes, laundry baskets, or bins. We do not accept items in garbage bags.

We also accept select baby gear purchased new within the last three years. For safety and compliance reasons, we cannot accept items a baby can sleep or lie in, including bassinets, cribs, pack and plays, sleep loungers, or similar products, unless they are brand new in original, unopened packaging. This same rule applies to car seats and bases.

Sorting, Pricing & Payouts

After an initial sort, accepted items receive a second review for stains, wear, or defects. Items are then sorted by season. Accepted items are tagged and dated for a two-month consignment period that begins when the items are most in demand.

Consignors earn 40% of the final sale price. Earnings may be used in-store or paid out via check, PayPal, or Zelle. Consignment balances never expire.

Unsold Items

After your consignment period ends, you have a two-week grace period to collect any unsold items. After that time, remaining items may be donated or sold during clearance without compensation.
